Timmendorfer Strand, Timmendorf Beach, is a small seaside vacation town on the Baltic Sea with beautiful long sandy beaches, on the Bay of Lubeck in the Baltic Sea.
My host family as a chaperone on a high school exchange first took me to this beautiful beach in 1994 and I returned a few more times. I enjoyed it so much that Nadine, my host's daughter that had stayed with us in Oregon, and I took a bus back there by ourselves for dinner one evening.
I returned again with my son, Wyatt, on our drive back from Norway to meet the rest of the family in Frankfurt... and again we dropped in on our 1999 trip.
